The ultimate responsibility of the Board is to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Wyoming by ensuring that those individuals licensed to provide Embalming and Funeral services in the state are duly qualified.
The Wyoming State Board of Funeral Service Practitioners has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Century Link Building, Room 463, 6101 Yellowstone Rd., Cheyenne, Wyoming.
The agenda includes executive sessions to administer the funeral service practitioner examination and for the Board to receive legal counsel if needed, approval of minutes, review of financials, inspection report revisions, review of the jurisprudence examination, draft columbarium legislation, website updates, election of officers, and any other matter properly brought before the Board.
Members of the Board are: Dr. Wendy Braund , Department of Health, Cheyenne; Greg Crandall, Evanston; Ross J. Gorman, Douglas; Greg Searls, Cheyenne; and Michael Worden, Newcastle.
The meeting will be held according to the Wyoming Administrative Procedures Act. PUBLIC NOTICE FOR PROPOSED RULES OF
THE WYOMING STATE BOARD OF FUNERAL SERVICE PRACTITIONERS
Public notice is hereby given that the Wyoming State Board of Funeral Service Practitioners intends to act on the following proposed rules: Chapters 1, 5, 6, 8, and 10. These rules and regulations are proposed by authority of the Board to regulate the qualifications and establish standards of performance for persons licensed as funeral service practitioners or funeral directors in Wyoming. These rules provide for enforcement and proper administration of the provisions of the Funeral Service Practitioner Practice Act.

A public hearing will be held by the Wyoming State Board of Funeral Service Practitioners if requested by twenty-five (25) persons, by a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less than twenty-five (25) members. Requests for a hearing should be directed to the agency at the above address by the date specified above. Notice of the hearing will be provided to all persons making a timely request therefore.
Commenters may request a statement of principal reasons for overruling the consideration urged by the commenter. If requested, the statement will be issued either prior to or within thirty (30) days after agency action.
